The Group
The Cities of Armadale and Gosnells and the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale are working as a regional partnership to develop partnerships with business, industry and residents, to encourage energy efficient and waterwise behaviour, with the goal of reducing regional greenhouse gas emissions. The three member Councils are working together as the South East Regional Energy Group (SEREG).
SEREG was convened to coordinate the research and implementation of sustainability initiatives across the region. SEREG actively seeks to develop partnerships with business, industry and residents, and encourage energy efficient and waterwise behaviour, in an effort to reduce regional greenhouse emissions.
Member Councils are represented by elected members and senior staff, and SEREG is serviced by a full time Regional Greenhouse Coordinator (RGC). The Armadale Redevelopment Authority also attends SEREG bi-monthly meetings to explore synergies and opportunities for collaboration.
