Join the syt! Program

Keen to share its successes and help others implement sustainable initiatives, SEREG has come up with a simple licensing arrangement that enables other local governments to deliver their own syt! program to their communities.

SEREG developed an Intellectual Property Licensing Agreement (IPLA) in 2007 to guide the expansion of the syt! program.  The IPLA covers all relevant licensing issues including Intellectual Property and Trade Marks, as well as general style guidelines etc. The IPLA essentially "franchises" the syt! brand and projects / products to other Councils and saves them the reinvention of the proverbial wheel.

Under the License Agreement an annual contribution of $5,000 + gst per individual Council, or $20,000 + gst per regional group of Councils is payable to SEREG. In return, licensed Councils utilise the syt! brand and logo to promote sustainability initiatives to their communities, and have the opportunity to access project packages from SEREG's formidable inventory of successful projects / products run over the past 7 years.

Syt! currently operates in eight WA local governments and was also recently rolled out over east in the ACT.

Syt! partner local governments includes;

  • Armadale
  • Belmont
  • Gosnells
  • Joondalup
  • Perth
  • South Perth
  • Serpentine Jarrahdale
  • Victoria Park
  • Wanneroo, and the
  • ACT government
