Sustainable street lighting trial

2008 - 2010

The Sustainable Street Lighting Trial was delivered to help Western Power assess the performance of two new sustainable lighting technologies in Western Australia’s unique environmental conditions.

The goal of the trial was to demonstrate the viability of replacing the old 80 watt mercury vapour lamps with the (then) new energy efficient compact fluorescent streetlights. The Sustainable Street Lighting Trial succeeded in making the efficient compact fluorescent globes available through the Western Power Streetlight range.
