Syt! Solar PV Workshops
As of 1 AUGUST 2010, the WA State Government is introducing a new Net Feed-in Tariff of 40c / kWh. Together with the 7c REBS, you can get paid 47c/kWh for energy you produce and export to the grid!
These free 1.5 hour workshops have been developed specifically to demystify issues relating to solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and will educate participants on:
The Market - giving you some background information on the small scale renewable energy market in WA,
Technologies / Different systems - looking at different types of PV panels, inverters and other PV equipment,
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) - explaining what RECs are and what they are worth to you,
Pricing Tariffs - explaining what Synergy will pay you for excess energy produced and fed back in to the grid,
Rebates / Incentives available (federal, state and local) - looking at what local, state and federal rebates / incentives are currently available to reduce the cost of your solar PV system, and
Payback periods - looking at how much you can expect to save each year on your electricity bill and what your Return on Investment (ROI) will be (e.g. how long it will take to be in the 'black').
