What can I recycle?
Mailroom supplies and pens, pencils and markers
- Mailroom supplied including packing and transporting products including shrinkwrap, packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
- Pens, pencils and markers including pen caps, mechanical pencils, marker caps, permanent markers, and permanent marker caps.
What happens to the waste?
When the box is full, it is sent back to TerraCycle and mechanically and/or manually separated into metals, fibres and plastics. The fibers (such as paper or wood based products) are recycled or composted. Metals are melted for so they may be recycled. The plastics undergo extrusion and pelletisation to be moulded into new recycled plastic products.
What's not accepted?
Any corrugated cardboard that can be municipally recycled. We will also not accept household hazardous waste such as lithium ion batteries, pressurized canisters, pesticides, paint or medical sharps. Visit Recycling Near You to find out how to safely dispose of these items.
