Green light school fundraiser
2003, 2008, 2010
The Green Light School fundraiser was designed to promote energy and water efficiency to school aged children and their families; a section of the community found to be resistant to changing their energy use behaviour.
To achieve this objective students from 60 schools and five community groups across Perth were recruited to sell energy efficiency and waterwise items instead of the traditional chocolate fundraiser – reducing household bills and waistlines across the community.
Money raised from the sale of Green Light showbags was used by participating schools to fund projects to reduce resource consumption and improve their environmental footprint.
