Little Green Steps

Little Green Steps WA is a not for profit program that supports Education for Sustainability in early learning services in Western Australia. This includes childcare centres, preschools, family day care, kindergartens, after school care and long day care services for children aged 0-8 years.

Little Green Steps can support early childhood staff to:

  • build their understanding of sustainability
  • explore how young children can save water and energy, reduce waste, care for their local environment and learn from Aboriginal and other cultures
  • embed sustainable practices in their work and
  • connect with many organisations and resources.

Little Green Steps has partnerships with the City of Armadale, City of Canning and City of Cockburn, providing support for early childhood services in these cities and also works with services in other regions across Western Australia.

Little Green Steps have developed an early childhood sustainability directory for the City of Armadale. The directory helps educators to access local sustainability education providers and services.
