Reduce, reuse, recycle
Ashburton Drive Primary School is striving to reduce their waste. Some of the ideas they have already initiated include:

- Reusing scrap paper for drawing, fast-finisher activities and making paper planes as part of flight lessons in science class.
- Every classroom has a recycling bin, making it easy for students and teachers to recycle and teaching the students the importance of recycling.
- Discussions about landfill are initiated through hands-on examples like flattening cardboard before it is recycled.
- All green waste at the school is recycled thanks to a conscientious grounds person
