The City of Armadale's Waste team invites you to join presenter Robyn Brown for this talk on How to Compost Your Way to Zero Food Waste. Learn how to use all types of compost bins, or set up a bay to compost food and garden waste at home.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to use composting bins, tumblers and bays
- How to use worm tubes and worm farms
- How to compost using bokashi
Robyn has a lifelong interest in waste and reusing, having worked as a Waste Education Officer, helping people to reduce waste and now runs her own business - Waste Is My Resource.
Robyn has a knack of making things simple, using what you have at hand, and great tips for troubleshooting on your journey to becoming an experienced composter!
Residents who have attended a composting workshop (How to Compost Your Way to Zero Food Waste), run by the City of Armadale, may be eligible to apply to Waste Services rebate up to $50.00, back if they purchase composting units.
An application to apply for the Composting Unit Rebate will be provided to workshop attendees at the end to the workshop.
Rebates are are only available to City of Armadale residents and are subject to the terms and conditions of the application. They are not available to residents who have not attended a composting workshop.
Compost unit rebate is subject to annual funding availability and while stocks last. If the rebate is no longer available when you apply, you will be contacted upon receipt of your application and added to a waiting list for the next available funding.
