In this second waterwise gardening workshop we continue to discuss ways to have a healthy, attractive and productive garden while making sure we water as efficiently as possible. Having looked at the basics of waterwise garden design and plant selection in the first workshop, we discuss some of the basics of watering systems. We will show you how to make an ‘olla’ or ‘amphorae’ – the original trickle irrigation system. You don’t need to have attended the first workshop but it will help. Presented with support from Wanneroo Libraries by Farm Manager at Perth City Farm and permaculture teacher, Rod Hughes.
This initiative is proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme and forms part of our ambition for the City of Wanneroo to be a leading waterwise community.
