Re-invention exhibition

Have you heard of a bottletop dolphin?

Now is your chance to catch a glimpse of this rare specimen!

The imaginative take on a ‘bottlenose dolphin’, is a creation by Joshua Michel from Canning Vale and it took out a winning prize in Young Re-inventor of the Year 2018.

Jewellery made of plastic packaging, a bird house crafted from easter egg wrappers and a paper mache octopus are also on display.

Young Re-inventor of the Year is an annual program that encourages youth to get creative to cut waste. Water was the theme for 2018 and inspired each of the works in the exhibition.

Participants were challenged to re-invent rubbish into something helps keep our waterways clean or conserves water. The program attracted 138 entries created by more than 400 young people from across Western Australia.

Registrations for 2019 open soon.
