Thinking Green: growing salad greens

Please note that this is a program for adults and young people aged 12 and over, is a presentation without hands-on activities. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.

Martina Hoeppner from Dandelion Permaculture will discuss the different leafy greens you can grow at home to make easy, healthy and delicious salads. This includes what types of leafy greens to grow (and there are many more than you might think), how and when to grow them and what they need to thrive. Martina will in bring some greens in from her own garden to show and for attendees to try.

Thinking Green is a free series hosted at the City of Swan's libraries and community centres, which aims to aims to inspire participants to change their lifestyle, improve their wellbeing and be kinder to the environment. In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use.
