Wicking beds in small spaces

Any water holding container can be used to create a wicking bed that allows vegetables to draw water as they need it. This is a self irrigating method of growing, perfect for our long dry summers and perfect for small spaces.

You’ll see how to set up a simple wicking bed in a foam box used for storing vegetables at supermarkets. This is perfect to grow lettuce or herbs and keep close to your back door to pick as you need.
